The Big Red Fez by Seth Godin is a quick survey of various website design issues presented in a very easy to read format. I finished this quick book (107 pages) in an evening. It is composed of a screenshot of a web page followed by some commentary. Through this example-based survey of real web sites Seth Godin asks "Where's the Banana?" His catch-phrase is to show that on every page of your site, the next step should be fairly obvious.
The best thing you can learn from reading this book is how to critically look at your website and presentation materials to evaluate how they are performing.
